With the visibility and responsibility, we're pretty much in Fortune 100 territory here. You're telling me they can't pull down high six figures? Guess I'm in the right line of work after all.

The bottom line is, I honestly do not care how much he makes.
I see. You care so little, you typed a full paragraph making it clear how "accessive" you find his salary.

In his intereview with the New York Times regarding Gibbs leaving, he says about Gibbs, "He's had a six year stretch now where where basically he's been going 24/7 with relatively modest pay."

Typical hypocrisy coming from the left yet again.

I think you really DO know what "relatively" means.....which is WHY you left it out of the title of this "I hate Obama" thread....

He said 172k is a modest salary, is he wrong? Personally, i disagree with him but that is right along the lines of the typical Republican thinking, aint it? So WHY ARE YOU MAD?

It's just like yesterday with the complaining about him hiring a Wall Street insider!!! You guys LOOOOOOOOOVE Wall Street insiders, but Obama hires one, and all of a sudden, the Wall Street guys are bad!

Make up your stinkin' minds already!

We keep telling you that Obama is Rethuglican lite, but you guys won't believe us.

I really do not understand what you are trying to say? Are you in PR? Work for a Fortune Co? Again, not sure what your point is.

MY point is, I find it hypocritical that the left deems $172,000 + major perks modest when it applies to one of their own. That is my point.

I am all for people making and keeping their money and hope that what they make is a lot. I am against someone from the left deeming any salary level too much and wanting to take money from people they feel have too much. I am against the left applying these rules to everyone but themselves.

Hmmmm.... I though I put you on my ignore list??

Anyway, here goes nothing:

The problem is he deems $172,000 + major perks 'modest' only when it applies to his cronies, but when it applies to a republican, it is not acceptable. Double standard, hypocritcal and so on and so forth.

For the LAST time - Stop lumping everyone from the right side into your little catagory of "you guys". You are assuming things and you know what they say about assume. I said nothing about Obummer hiring a wall street insider.

I have my mind made up. You have zero influence on that. I don't really care what Obummer is as long as it is no longer POTUS - I ready for him to move on and stop trying to destroy this Country.

And btw....By 'us' in the sentence "you guys won't believe us" - do I understand that us is the left and you guys the right? Well, if I am to take a page out of YOUR book, I would say being that I am an educated person, I will never believe anything coming from your side.

The level of "modesty", in the eyes of Obama and his loyal pupils, is directly correlated to whether the individual works for the federal government or the private sector.

As Obama is a millionaire from his book sales (not criticizing) he may think that is modest pay. Whatever. Who cares?

What are the major perks? Got a link?

I can think of many downsides to a job like that..working 24/7 you never know when you will be pulled from a family vacation (if you CAN take one), or even a family dinner.

Than would burn out many people, no matter how much the job paid.

And that is my point!

Not only does it correlate with federal or private sector work, it also correlates with whether they are a democrat in favor of Obummer or not.
