Not saying the friend is lying but why would someone who has no interests in politics go see a politician speak? Id he didn't follow the news how did he even know where she was going to be; both times?

The mentally ill will zero in on a person and become obsessed with them for whatever reason. It has been reported that he also hated George Bush. I think that means nothing nor his going to several of her gatherings. He was and is ill. The shooter of John Lennon was a huge fan of his but for whatever twisted in his brain, decided to kill him. This kid could have felt dismissed by the Congresswoman. I had a young man in one of my art classes that was clearly disturbed and at the end of the semester he sat down with me on our break and told me he thought all of us in the class hated him and he was so moved by the Fullerton campus shootings he was afraid he might have to teach us all a lesson. Not one person in that classroom had ever done anything to hurt him but it was his perception that we were all dismissing him. Needless to say I ran right to the professor and thank God he listened and the kid ended up in a mental hospital. Politics and talk radio have nothing to do with this kids journey.
