I don't get the connection between being black and that impacting your opinion on abortion.

Most blacks are against it, but you can probably attribute it to Christian ethics more than fear of genocide.

First you have to believe that life begins at conception.
You can't talk about equal protections for all and then condone the murder of a class of people(in this case babies) out the other side of your mouth.

What Santorum is trying to do here is compare the disagreement of when life begins to the disagreement if blacks were people or not, and trying to suggest blacks should not disagree with him on when life begins because of their past mistreatment and not being considered people. Its an utterly ridiculous comparison, but considering its "Man on Dog" Rick, it doesn't surprise me.

And once again, Santorum makes a jerk out of himself.
What a maroon.

White people aren't concerned with equal protections?

Santorum On Obama & Abortion: 'Almost Remarkable For A Black Man' To Say We Can Decide Who's A Person (VIDEO) | TPMDC

I'd say what's remarkable is former Senator Santorum's "logic" and "reasoning." So because there was a despicable time in our nation's history when only 3/5 of slaves were counted in the census for the purpose of determining representation in Congress, a black man in 2011 shouldn't have an opinion on human conception?

That's just idiocy to the nth degree. And, might I add, highly offensive.
What in the world do you think Santorum is saying?!?! He is saying of ALL people blacks, who were once considered property and not people, should be sensitive to another human being deciding who is human and who is not! Praise God for Rick Santorum!

That argument might apply if Mr. Obama had an ancestry based in slavery, but he doesn't.

i thought it was on fox news that u had al sharpton a defending of blacks defending abortion which kills more blacks than anything else in america and a white man defending the life of unborn black babies. i wish black liberals were put more on the spot. i loved when rick santorum said the black population is half of what it should be. its time to expose black "leaders" who are all talk and no action.
