Very simple question for all those who voted solely or partially because Obama would be the first black President. How has the last 2 years been in your opinion, has it been all you expected or less?

I'd be lying if I said that race played no part in my vote, nor do I feel the slightest shame for having done so. So to answer the question, the last two years has had its pluses and minuses, but then I could say the same for every politician who I have ever voted for, none has ever exceeded my expectations (but then I'm a realist). Would I do it again purely on policy, and competence, in a heart beat.

Ooops. I guess I shouldn't have voted in your poll as I did not vote for Obama. Is this poll soley for Obama supporters?
Because even though I didn't vote for him he has still performed way under what even I expected.
He's done a better job of screwing up this country than I ever would have expected, although I don't think race has anything to do with it. I supported Alan Keyes when he ran.
The interesting thing to me is that technically I don't consider Obama black.
Wasn't he raised by white grandparents? I know his mother was white. So he obviously had a lot of influence by his whte family and it seems his father deserted him. So really it seeems like he had little black influence. So in my mind he is not truly a "black president" as say, Alan Keyes would have been if he would have won the republican ticket.
I always have low expectations for a Democratic president, and extremely low expectations for anyone that goes from a "job" of "community activist" to serve 144 days as senator, then to the position of president.
I don't have any lower threshold of expectations for a black president versus a white one.

Yes .....but there are a lot of people who were ecstatic about voting for him based on being black, no matter what %, I just want to know....... has it been all that they could have imagined now that we have, been there done that!
