Repubs will always be able to get that vote because the "redneck vote" cares more about cultural issues than financial ones. I've had them tell me straight up that the Repubs do nothing for them, but they're simply attracted to the gays, guns, and God angle....not to mention that the Dems in their minds do too much for "minorities." (they don't..but it's a good sell) And there is little you can do to change that.

Ah, I see that we have the voice of reason here. One with no political agenda and who votes according to the issues, as long as there is a D next to their name.

Sounds to me like you, azriverfan, are playing the "Redneck Card" by accusing Bush of getting elected by appealing to the interests of "Rednecks".

True.

But on the other hand the Dems have to sell out to corporate interests just to even compete with the right. A real toilet of a situation our politics and government have been for a while.

The country and economy are not going to H*ll, in fact the economy is improving, no thanks to the Repubs. The Country never was going to h*ll the right just wants it to so they might regain total power and that is far more important than the Country.

Q. What does Azriver and a Redneck have in common?

A. You each get one vote.
