Their were Union states that had slaves and Confederate states that did not. If slavery was a key issue, one would think that the Union would have made it illegal prior to engaging in war, would they not? Political Correctness and revisionist history are rotting the brain.

Bachmann's craziness has taken a back seat to Palin of late so I guess she felt the need to turn it up a few notches....

Aren't you the same guy always calling conservatives "haters" for simply disagreeing with the leftist agenda? Yet all you do is call conservatives "crazy" and "racist." Hypocrisy at it's worst.

She's clearly confused. John Quincy Adams was the sixth President of the United States, yet she refers to him as one of the founders.

She actually referred to JQA as a forebearer, which he was.

Not understanding the linkage to the Founding Fathers and the elimination of slavery. Also not following how she said that we were "all the same" when we came to this country, regardless of ethnicity. History has proven that to not be true. This did not put her in the best light, to say the least.

Read it again. She didn't say Adams was a founder.

This is all much ado about nothing. Only thing she said that was incorrect is that they worked until they saw slavery abolished. A s they were dead when it was abolished. Many of the founders did work to end slavery. And they set up the Constitution so that it could one day be ended without violence.

Actually listened to the video. She said forbearer. Yes, many founders were also abolistionist. You need to watch the video. She has some other factual errors. I get the intent she was trying to get across and it was a fine point but she wasn't accurate in her historical portrayal of the issue.
