WHat I am tired of is people who insist that nothing has changed for those who have their own insurance. These critics must not have insurance because yes, you can keep your policy, but the dirty little secret is whether or not you can f...ng afford to keep it. Insurance has been going up, up and up since this stupid bill was passed and Mr. Obama stated, as did his puppet master Pelosi, it would become more affordable. Yeah, right.
Health Insurance has gone up since 2001, in regard to my own policy years ago, you lose your job, pick up on COBRA, after that you are at the mercy of the insurance companies, what started at with UHC & myself was a $225 premium per month, by 2005 it was $450 and they still declined items, you had to call & call, numerous copies sent to them, you pay and still got S on.
I had to cancel it, could not afford the next premium of $485, this is not fair to people, something needs to be done, people who have been thru that can clearly see why something needs to be done.
Because it's true. You will have employers that will be dumping their employees because of obamacare. They will find it less expensive to pay the penalty than to offer coverage dictated by the fed. All those businesses that offer mini-med plans will not be able to afford the mandated minimum coverage in obamacare - so the people that had those plans will NOT be able to keep, NOT be able to afford the new premiums.
She hammered him pretty good, especially on his failed stimulus.
They dumped employees way before Obama was elected with the rising cost of insurance. A lot of the small companies had tried other ways to cut the costs even with policys that the money was funded by the employer, this was put into a pool once you reached the limit the insurance carrier would pay. That surely didn't work out if there were several hospital admissions that year that the employer had to pay.. So back to the previous health ins. co. with high rates, so what was an employer to do...? They really did not want to let workers go nor ask for contributions but with alot of them they had to ask for contributions to keep the company afloat. So now where are we after all those years? The rates did not go down, up. up, up
I believe he even had to use them when faced with the challenging tasking of speaking with/to some elementary school kids. Who's the real idiot here (hint: BHO)
You are shocked that your ins premium is going up? Duh, that is why the Reform Law was enacted. Premiums have been rising at over 10% per year, for a lot of years. A few yrs from now, the new Law will allow a great many people to pay less on the premiums. But the premiums will continue to rise, until there is more done by Congress to affect the rising costs of providing care.
I guess some here can afford their premiums they are paying for or they pay for 1/2 or whatever or their employer is paying all of it, wait till one loses their job, the picture will become very clear.
Obama care does not seem to be working in holding down insurance premiums
Why is that?
