That's not it at all.

All Presidents are criticized.

The left seem to forget that fact.

BTW....he will be taken down if the unemployment rate doesn't fall.

"It's the economy, stupid!"

Jesus wouldn't say the things that obama does.

That's true, as Jesus was a blazing liberal.

I don't know that that is true. It is obviously what the Repubs are counting on that, by doing whatever they can to stop the Economic recovery. But, the American people aren't as easily duped a second time. The Nov election, was a demand for Congress to work on solutions, not politics. If the Repubs continue to demonstrate that their politics trump anything else, the American people may respond by putting those people back into power in a majority, so that the issues can be dealt with.

My point, and I didn't make it clearly, was that if Jesus was a DEMOCRAT making the same SOTU address, she'd call him evil--she can't see past the party bias. Do you think Jesus would be telling people to "lock and reload" just because they disagree with you?

You totally misread the November elections.

I think you did. The majority of people don't want health care defunded or repealed, but they do want glitches in the program cleaned up. People were voting on jobs--it was a "throw the bums out" election over the economy. I think the R's won DESPITE themselves--their 30% base supports their agenda, and the rest of us just wants the country to grow and for the bickering to stop. You can deny it and keep playing to your base, but your base doesn't win elections for you--swing voters do.

aphamale is right, and it has already begun. Rep. Boehner promised "no comprise" on extending the 2001 tax cuts on November 10, 2010, but by December 2, 2010 he voted to compromise with the Democrats by adding another $120+ billion in new spending.

No.

Jesus was not a "blazing liberal".

Do you think he would approve of on demand abortion?

Do you think he would approve of the lifestyle of the gay community, or the loose morals of many people?

Do you think he would be okay with prostitution?

"You are forgiven, but go and sin no more."

Jesus would have been turned on by the left immediately when he says "go and sin no more."

That was his message.

"Go and sin no more."

Understood?

Obama’s Message to America: The Era of Big Government is Back, Now Help Me Pay For It

The results?

Quote:
A record $1.5 trillion deficit, an 84% increase in federal spending, a trillion dollar stimulus that stimulated nothing but more Tea Party activism, 9+% unemployment (or 17% percent if you include those who have stopped looking for work or settled for part time jobs), 2.9 million home foreclosures last year, and a moratorium on offshore drilling that has led to more unemployment and $100 dollar a barrel oil.
She got her information from the same source as Ryan, and they have already been fact-checked, and their numbers are off, particularly the 84% increase in federal spending. The correct figures come from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. Yes, the stimulus was underwhelming, but if you are going to give numbers on a nationally televised speech, numbers that are easy to verify, then you'd better make sure they are correct.
