Thats all fine and dandy. The man can do that. But he needs to be accountable that he was on a " family friendly" show and be responsible for the children that was watching
The he should be fired because of that. Not because of who he said it about which is the only reason some people are so upset.
A liberals thinks that recycling should be something everyone is required to do. They push an agenda to make people feel guilty for not doing it.
A conservative thinks they should be able to make the choice to not recycle if they dont want to do it. Yet they dont care if the liberal does recycle.
But I have not made this issue about liberal / conservative.
I don't care if you recycle, nor do I care about anything you do in your personal life - regardless of my feelings on the issue. But then again, I am more of a libertarian than anything... still, I think you are failing to see how often conservatives apply this logic to issues. Ever heard of Prop 8 or the right to life movement? But I guess we all think the other side is pushing something when they talk about it! So why don't we drop the partisan BS, and just discuss the issue at hand. No pun intended, LOL.
So I have an honest question, with no judgment or pushing of agendas - what exactly do you mean by "he should be held accountable?" His statement is already out there, so do you think an FCC fine is in order?
Why would we expect anything other than filth, degeneracy, hate or vulgarity from the left wingers? It's par for the course.
Oh, ya, we're all cut from the exact same mold? We're all filthy, degenerates full of hate and vulgarity? We walk and talk in lock-step? How do you explain the difference between public figures like Oprah and Tracy Morgan, who are both probably liberals but they couldn't be more different in their speech and commitment to good, quality entertainment (or lack of it in Tracy's case)?

When you defend this happening and making excuses for it happening. You are saying it should be accepted by people. Why else would you be defending it happening.Which is pushing your opinion on others
I however think that if you wish to allow your child in the room with a show like sex and the city thats your choice. But that we should both be able to watch a sporting event without sex and the city type of dialogue being said.

My comment was in response to this one... Not the abortion thing.

My issue isnt who he said it about. I dont care that he said it. I care when he said it. Had he said it during a late night show or whatever, cool. I wouldnt say a thing about it.
Oh good grief Charlie Brown - this is SO not a big deal, and here's why:
1. The network apologized almost immediately
2. He's a comedian - it's his job to make fun of people. Many other comedians have said much worse about many other public/political figures. It's just what they do.
3. This is about as political as a middle school student council race
Prolly not the best venue for that type of a joke, but the network apology covers that. Time to get over it now.
Besides, there are waaaaaay funnier Sarah Palin jokes out there.

I think adults need to be accountable and lead by example. I think him saying this during a basketball game while children was watching is terrible.
No I dont think there should be a fine but I think we as citizens needs to make it apparent this is not acceptable during certain shows. But we have relaxed our morals and values and this is a result.

Tracy Morgan was correct, I just tested his theory on a Sarah Palin poster.
Love it.
