Keith Olbermann's ratings were down over the past 12 months, especially among the coveted, non-shut-in, 25-to-54 demographic. He's not the only one—Glenn Beck's ratings have eroded, along with his advertisers. Sarah Palin's approval ratings have also similarly plummeted during her foray into the murky world where politics meets reality TV.
Keith Olbermann's Departure Means the End of the Wingnuts - The Daily Beast

I thought it was an interesting coincidence that Olbermann's show ended just a few days after Sarah Palin's disastrous response to the shooting in Tucson. Is America really ready for more moderate voices in politics, or is this just a brief intermission?

Breather before the 2012 race gets into full swing. It's gonna be nasty.

Olberman, for all his bombast, resides in the reality based world, unlike the other two you mentioned

The only thing coming to an end are the left wingnuts. They cannot compete in any market. You should spend more energy and tears on them instead of worrying about Back and Palin. They will do just fine.

I wish Palin gets the Republican nomination.

Maybe, but we always have C-D to fall back for a wing-nuttery fix.

We can only hope. Although I wouldn't put Olbermann in the same category as Beck or Palin.

There is only one person that can end the downward spiral of polarizing political partisanship that this country is sliding down. I don't think he has the guts, determination or quite frankly the need to end this fracture.

He is an elitist. He thinks he is better than the people he represents. Democrat or Republican. I didn't even need to mention his name or position.

Palin made no such response. Instead, made a stateman-like statement. You should read it.
