Probably will have a sweet paying private sector job waiting for him.

I think most of these people had cushy jobs for many years, some may have even wanted to do the right thing for America but, they see how hard it is going to be in the coming years to straighten things out and they don't want to have to work that hard. JMOO. It's been a great ride for a lot of them and some are still hanging on, the worst crooks, Franks, Shumer, Waters (?) etc, etc.

The time is over of campaigning and saying anything to get elected and then welching on those statements ! I hope Rubio falls before he can become entrenched. I lost respect for Florida tea party people when they moved him in....eta: they became drunk with their power to promote and lost sight of his shady background. MO.

He knows damn well that the Repubs don't have the heart to do the things they said they would, and doesn't want to be there when accountability time comes.

Lobbyists get paid more. Also, by becoming a lobbyist he may actually get to write a bill.

Why are they dropping off like flies, because they all of a sudden had a wake up call, that they might actually have work to do!

Considering Jon Kyl was one of the strongest voices for increasing military spending in our dismal economic state, I say good riddance and look forward to hearing his puff pieces out of the AEI soon after.
