States no longer have any representation on Capital Hill. The Big Central Government has swallowed up all the States powers.

In the last 3 years, we have see the States start to wake up, that they have lost sovereignty and all representation on Capital Hill.

Do you see this as a problem, with States losing power to a big centralized federal government?

Appointing Senators, vs. the people electing them.
Seems the States have not been on the same page as their Senators, for decades.

Who elects those Senators, the people of the state or the Legislature? Yep, I thought it was the people. Maybe we need to do what is required to deliver a message to our Senators.

That is why the 17th Amendment must be repealed. As was originally intended, the House was supposed to address the interests of the people, while the Senators were supposed to address the interests of the states. That's why the House's apportionment of Representatives depends on the population of each state while each state has two Senators to represent the interests of the people of the state so that more populated states don't impose their will on the others. That's why the Senate used to be an appointed body that was appointed by each state legislature (which, in turn, is elected by the people of their respective states).

Now the Senate is a glorified extension of the House, subject to the fleeting whims of the people that change day by day, week by week. Who are the Senators accountable to today? The people now, which means it is their duty to "bring home the bacon" at the expense of the nation. How could you corrupt/lobby a Senator to vote a particular way if he was appointed and did not spend money on elections like they do today? He was supposed to represent the state, as an equal to the U.S. government. Now, the states are under the U.S. government thanks to Senators refusing to pay out the goods to states with mandates attached to them, reducing our freedom

Strange how people want to give the people less power.

Also strange how so many people are willing to trade a supposed federal tyrant for a state tyrant.
