Notice how quickly the economy problems have been swept off the figurative front page by the media?
Consider that a mere 3 weeks ago, the type of candidate you thought it would take to defeat Barack Obama in 2012 would be one totally focused on managing the economy and now that this Middle East crisis is rearing its ugly head, you may be considering different criteria for your candidate. Maybe you want a more ballsy candidate or one with more foreign policy/military experience. And a year from now (Feb 2012), if there are gasoline shortages (resurrect the "drill baby drill") as a result of this current mess or we feel threatened as a country defense-wise, you might even be applying still different criteria for your presidential candidate of choice.
Just an observation about what's hot at the time you vote and how quickly things can change. It's a crapshoot. Hopefully, it's not engineered to play to any candidate's strength.
Nope i still have to fill up my vehicles and buy food, pay the electric bii and stuff, I know a half dozen people losing their homes and got friends who lost their jobs.
Nope......haven't forgotten about the economy and health care.
FYI.....I am glad Obama is in office now, McCain would have us involved in yet another conflict in a hearbeat. Right now, we especially need someone like Obama, who is level headed and contemplative, not someone with an itchy trigger finger like McCain or Palin.......or most other Repubs.
Nice Spin, nice Try but in an answer NO. No matter what the current news is, or the latest story, how can one forget about this economy. And no Obama is not what we need, we need someone more level headed, who had a lot of expereince, to make the right decisions, and the right spending. Someone who truly can get the economy rolling, not by talk but by action.
