In 2004 this was on the news. It was reported that the weapons were very old and left buried, possibly just abandoned or lost. The US has misplaced nukes, lost jets and humvee's so I can only imagine that Saddam could have misplaced a few small weapons.
The original claim was the equivalent to over 20 tanker trucks of agent. So even if 10 gallons was found it isn't near the original claim.
In the end it no longer matters. We are there, and politicians are afraid to stop the war.

There were hundreds of tons of yellow cake and lots of drums containing mixtures for chemical weapons, you are thinking of the older mustard gas stuff that was also found.

Using the "hundreds of tons of yellowcake" to bolster the WMD claim is not really a serious argument. First, yellowcake isn't a WMD by any stretch of the imagination. It's worthless without a serious refinement program, and Iraq didn't have one of those at all. (Remember those aluminum tubes that could only be used for centrifuges? That was a flat-out lie.)
Second, it wasn't hidden, everybody know exactly where it was (Tuwaitha), because it was declared to and monitored by IAEA thoughout.
The only time it wasn't under control was in the aftermath of the 2003 invasion, where the US Army left it unguarded for long enough that the locals could loot the facility. Of course, yellowcake in and of itself is seriously uninteresting.
The "drums containing mixtures" sound rather bogus to me, truth be told. Lots of chemicals with benign purposes can be combined to provide something poisonous, but if you have a cite for specific precursors to actual agents (VX, Sarin, Tabun, something of that sort), I'd be interested.
The only actual weapons were about 500 shells that appeared to predate the Gulf War, none of which were in a state to be fired.
Of course we are all aware that the United States shipped hundreds of tons of Mustard Gas and Blister Agent to Iraq for use in their war against Iran. But while Mustard Gas and Blister Agents are Chemical Weapons they are NOT WMD, they are tactical munitions used in many wars since Worl War I. In fact Both sides in the Iran Iraq War were using US supplied Chemical Agents
So America went to war, sacrificed over 4,000 GIs and countless wounded for that?
