Has he done anything to really deserve it yet? I know that it was based on potential, but I'm not sure he's really done anything to promote peace in this world or better humanity.
I don't know where it stands now, but Obama officially has a body count attached to his administration.
Makes the notion of him getting a peace prize more laughable by the day.

True dat, but no more laughable than Yasser Arafat.
It was clear from the get-go to all but the most ardent o-bots (and a handful of powerful but equally delusional weegees) that this farce of a prize would ultimately become an embarassment.

I would like to be given a hundred million dollars based on the possibility that I might someday purchase a winning lottery ticket. Or perhaps an Academy Award based on the possibity that I might someday be discovered in Schrafft's drugstore sipping on a chocolate malt and wearing a pink cashmere sweater. I only hope that my chest hair does not protrude, spoiling the effect.

I mean it's pretty much true. It was a "nudging" to not be like Bush. At this point, I pretty much have to say that Obama is as guilty as Bush is for our Guantanamo, Iraq and Afghanistan occupations.
Just demonstrates the 'value' (non-monetary) of the award.
