How many people here saying they are Irish are actually citizens of Ireland and not just american descendants of the irish. Don't speak in the name of the Irish if you're not Irish.
I know it's trendy to say things like
"I'm Irish-Italian-Morrocan-Japanese", but really, you are american.
Following that logic, I could say that I don'T find racism offensive since hey, in the end, we all came from Africa, right?
I am now ashamed to say I am Irish. I never thought of the Irish as being whiners. What the heck has happened to them? I don't find them offensive and anyone that does needs to go see a shrink.
But, the Irish are impervious to psychoanalysis...

Ok, but calling oneself by one's ancestors' country of origin is no new thing.
As an American of Irish heritage, I'm not offended. Better?
Anyway, the way I read the article, it didn't seem like the complaints were coming from Ireland?? Couldn't find more info on that, though....
I'm Irish and not offended by the t-shirts. Sometimes this PC stuff is taken so far it becomes silly, IMO.
I have a lot of Irish friends We really have a blast every St. Patty's Day, but in moderation, of course
"Saint Patrick was a gentleman,
Who through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland,
Here’s a toasting to his health.
But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see all those snakes again"
For the Irish Americans or American Irish, I applaud you that you are not offended for your ancestors. Wish some other groups would follow the same logic.....

Why do the Irish have to go around announcing their ethnicity to everyone? I don't need to hear about it. They're shoving it down our throats. And why do they have to have a parade? They're such deviants. I'm really tired of all of this political correctness. They tell the rest of us that we need to be "tolerant" of them, but then they won't tolerate my anti-Irish views. They must be mentally ill.
(all sarcasm)
