Thats is your opinion and mine is mine. I dont get why anyone that does not smoke weed want it to be legal

I do NOT want police under the influence of weed or anything else.

I personally dont want them doing anything that can influence them and I'm not sure why anyone would
Drug testing! I have had to take drug tests in the past as conditions of employment, and they even tested for legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco.

I would say likely for the same reason people who do not drink don't think alcohol should be illegal.

Drinking alcohol is legal but it's considered unprofessional to show up drunk on the job. I'm pretty sure the same would apply if pot were legal.

I do not agree with his firing though. People should be able to support whatever initiative they want.
If he sees prohibition as a major cause of crime and violence. Wouldn’t supporting the de-funding of gangs and drug cartels seem like something the police would be for?

I should add I don't smoke weed and I want it to be legal. I have zero interest in the stuff but that doesn't necessarily mean I want it banned for all. And there are people who smoke weed who also have enough responsibility and self-respect to not show up stoned on the job.

He was signing as a private citizen, not a representative of the police force. Of course he should not be fired.

Our government gained so much power and confiscated money via the "War on Drugs" that there's nothing they won't do to us now.

It wasn't a vote, it was a petition he signed.

Absolutely !!!! Millions of people who don't smoke weed support the end of prohibition. People who support freedom generally support adults making their own choices.

I don't gamble, but certainly support legalizing gambling.

I don't own a gun, but support the freedom to own one.
