Oh, I don't know. You could try it. Broaden your horizons, expand your world. Grow some more neural pathways.

My associations are very wide and diverse. Particularly politically and religiously, even within my own family.

A smart person is someone who can failed to top. Look at uncle Ben, as he does is running and all he know is running the printing press and he is credit with all the good thing that happens in our life.

The article is completely "dumb" in itself-Denver is running out of smart people? Where do they get this crap?

Numbers and statistics don't tell the whole story. We all know smart and talented people with real-world skills (and no crushing student loan debts) who are successful.

So how do you categorize a "smart person" who doesn't have the education on paper but certainly does in life accomplishments? What's a "smart person?"

Here's the Ten States Running Out of Smart People:

The 10 States Running Out Of Smart People: 24/7 Wall Street

(Eye-rolling irony: the author is supposedly from one of the states listed.)

A lot of people leave MI once they finish school because unions and big taxing Democrats have destroyed the economy.

Whoa! Well said. High-taxing democrats and unions. Who would have thunk it.

A "smart person" would not write such a dumb article.

That does seem to be the prevailing attitude, especially in an internet forum such as this one. Thing is, I've known a lot of people in my lifetime, some with higher education, some with less than a high school education. I've known some very smart people with whom I've completely disagreed. I've known some extremely stupid people who quite often come up with ideas I'd never considered and I find myself agreeing with them. And I don't define anyone's "smartness" or "stupidity" by how much education they have or haven't had. I've known some highly educated jackasses and some completely uneducated geniuses.

Well-said! I can't agree with you more!
