But let me ask you this....Since your money is now going into your private account. How are current retirees going to get their money? Because they rely almost 95% on what you pay into SS to fund their retirement now.

Don't tell me.......................You want to borrow Trillions from China to fund your scheme?
I said a PORTION of what I put in should be available for me to invest as I see fit.

If 95% of the current retirees are relying on current SS contributions, I would ask who designed such a Ponzi scheme? Where is the surplus that has been accumulated over the years? Why isn't a larger portion of that being used to pay current retirees.

Then we can argue over the unfairness that current retirees paid far LESS percentage of their income (with far less income earned as well) to the SS fund. The return earned on their SS contributions are astronomical. Why should one age group of people do so well when others are going to struggle to support them?

Also since Obamacare is supposedly going to control premium costs and prevent excessive adminstration costs, what would be the difference between private insurance and public?
Good clear guidance on what must be covered and what isn't is what is desperately needed for people to decide which policy they want to purchase.
Good question for the GOP. They are the ones who will likely abolish Medicare Advantage because of its cost.

You do know that Ryan's budget was a blue print on how to completely and quickly eliminate the complete deficit. Do you really think that it will pass as is? Do you really think politicians will not cave in to their lobbyists? I think his budget is a conversation starter, but has no chance of being implemented.

You didn't answer my question (although not asked directly to you): with all the hoopla over how Obamacare will supposedly contain costs via mandating what services are appropriate and which aren't, capping adminstrative costs, eliminating preexisting conditions etc. why should there be a difference between public and private plans?
Wasn't this supposed to help level the playing field?

The GOP took over one chamber and acts as though they have a license to impose any law they want. They have forgotten that they got elected because of the Dems failure to deal with the unemployment issue. Senior citizens, the most reliable voting block, will not forget it. Sowing the seeds of their own defeat in two years.

Ah...a well-worn, tired old page from the democrat playbook - The Rs are coming for your benefits, they're going to put you on the street, they're going to take your SS!

Doesn't work anymore.

Why was there outrage from the GOP about Medicare cuts of 500 billion in the Healthcare bill?

PolitiFact | Republican exaggerations about cutting Medicare

And now;

Ezra Klein - Rep. Paul Ryan's daring budget proposal

Wow, a politician actually doing what they campaigned on.
I know, it is unheard of in liberal Progressive land. It is frighting to you they are doing what they said they would before they were elected
