China has said it is willing to bail out debt-ridden countries in the euro zone using its $2.7trillion overseas investment fund.
In a fresh humiliation for Europe, Foreign Ministry spokesman Jiang Yu said it was one of the most important areas for China's foreign exchange investments.
The country has already approached struggling European countries with financial aid, including offering to buy Greece's debt in October and promising to buy $4billion of Portuguese government debt.

Not quite buy the nations but still they are starting to use their wealth for their own benefit. That is what we get for exporting our jobs in exchange for cheap imports.

The sleeping dragon has awakened.

Owning a country's debt ARE weapons of mass financial destruction.
You now have the upper hand in any negotiations.

China will rule the world..one financially strapped country at a time.

Or how's about "organic" chicken from China ?
And the USDA is on board with that one.

Organic and China in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

It would amaze most people if they realised where the food they eat is coming from....

Having worked in restaurants it has been illuminating to see China take over segment after segment of the food market.

The pet food scare is what woke me up.
All my meat is now locally raised and I buy direct.

As far as non-Chinese organic..maybe the FDA/USDA will declare melamine organic since it's showing up in so much food.

"This cheap Chinese soy meal was delivered to 127 "organic" chicken farms in France. Nobody yet knows how many organic chicken farms in the U.S., Canada, U.K. or Australia might also be feeding their chickens toxic levels of melamine."

I believe melamine is added to boost the protein level in testing, making it appear better than it really is.

Sad thing is,people will keep buying it...
