When you are giving Big Buisness and the Rich huge tax cuts and then attempt to bust the unions for all state workers supposedly due to budget shortfalls, YES, it is a power grab, or more accurately doing the bidding of their Masters. But I don't actually expect the Pawns to get it or care if they did.

Again, what you call tax cuts for the rich, I say it is allowing more people to keep more of their hard earned money. Also, tax cuts for business means they have more predictbility and capital to hire - to allow more jobs. So why would you want people in unions to get more benefits if it meant less people in the community could obtain employment....sounds selfish n the unions part...
The teachers have agree to the wage concessions. The issues the teachers are standing up for it not giving up their right to collective bargaining.
So who's REALLY makiing a power grab?
Without the ability to make changes quick in teh future, and allowing towns to negotiate indidually, that hamstrings the taxpayers....sure, lets make things more balanced for the taxpayer....
also, what about the forced union dues and membership, how can that be justified, ...
