At least the governor of WI told the voters he would "stop the train" if elected.

if it would've done all those things, then why didn't anyone in the private sector fund it? i know little about the project in nj, but if the terms were similar to the ones in florida, then christie did you a favor.

i know it is intuitive, but keynesian stimulus does not work

Property taxes means you really don't have a right to own your property. You only rent it.

here, let me give you permission
smoke until you drop~~
medical pot, my ass, I spent years high and drunk and finally got clean and sober, that is my choice, if you want to smoke dope, then smoke dope, but at least get real about it instead of calling it medical, and then have the tax payers buy it for you

you missunderstood my post. possibly because i didn't make it that clear. so i'll explain it again. i never referred to it as medical. rather i said that prohibitionists often cite medical reasons for banning it. now, if someone wants to preach to me about the harm i am doing to my own body, they best not be 1 pound overweight. if they want to preach that smokers of marijuana pose potential MEDICAL costs to taxpayers they should go back and see what the costs of heart disease and diabetes are to the taxpayer too.

i don't favor legalisation based on the grounds that mj is safe or a good medicine. i favor legalisation because i don't believe the state has the right to tell me what to do with my own body

If you taxes went up, blame your municipality.
No kidding. And now people want to blast him about pulling the plug on the train project.

It was smart. He told the feds that if they want it built so bad, then they needed to fund it because we are broke! And guess what, they are!

He is down to earth and practical. That's what we've needed for far too long.

okay, I understand, lol
I have not heard what his stand is on a lot of things, I am just impressed with him being willing to stand up for cutting spending
I am also impressed with him saying no to runing for president because he is not ready, boy, that is refreshing!
To bad Obama's ego is so big to have waited as clearly he was not ready before and two years later, he is still not ready! Same as Miss Palin, who is just like Obama
only on the opposite end! GAG~~

that points to the hypocrisy of people. they want the feds to cut spending, but they must cut spending in all the other states, just not the one that they happen to be living in!
