I read this story in 4 different places this evening and it seems that the Soviets told a monstrous lie about the first manned space flight by Yuri Gagarin. I wish there was some proof about his death that took place in 1968 in a never explained plane crash. They told anything they could back in those days and some of it was pure propaganda.
Do our history books still say that Gagarin did just as the Soviets said? I wonder how much stock progs put in lies like this one. Who in hell said anything about Soviets still being there? You, only.
I don't know about this particular lie, but I do know there is no bigger liar than the state, so anything is possible.
Yes, Frank, that is very true and it comes from us just as well. Propaganda is anything from absolute truth to absolute lie and everything in between that is used to further your agenda. The Soviets wanted the world to believe that they were really way ahead of us but it didn't last long enough.
Speaking of the state and lying, how many on this forum really believe that we never landed on the moon even once? Very many believe in that conspiracy theory.

Does the fact that the Soviet Union has been gone so long make the lie they told in 1961 more truthful? I just can't understand you progs talking like that. Of course, it is prog deflection in my eyes.
The only thing delusional here is the belief that progressives have some vested interest in the Soviet Union.
