Geez, another clueless one. The difference is that most Irish and other European groups came here legally not illegally. It's not about why immigrants come here but whether or not they come here lawfully.
How many times does it have to be repeated to these clueless ones that natural change is ok but not change due to illegal immigration. That is neither natural nor lawful. Do I have to type this in caps also so the clueless get it?

The Native Americans would disagree with your notion that Europeans came here legally. They came here illegally and then establish laws that say that others who come here the same way they did do so illegally. How quaint.

I don't believe that all European groups came here legally. This is a big country...how can anyone really know that? It's not like we had a big ass Border Patrol station on the east coast to monitor immigration.
I just read a book about Mafia boss Joe Bonanno, and he made it quite clear that his grandfather was an illegal immigrant from Sicily. And considering how many millions of European immigrants came here, he can't possibly be some huge anomaly. No way. And not just from Italy either. If a Sicilian could do it, it must've been even easier for an Irishman or a German to do it.
In otherwords the person you are replying to has no respect for our immigration laws. Real law abiding, loyal Americans isn't he? Doesn't matter to him if we lose our national identity our culture and language via illegal immigration. It's all good to him. Unbelievable that there are Americans that think like that and couldn't care less about our soverign borders. Well perhaps he is Hispanic himself and that is why it doesn't matter to him. You know, that tribal mentality trumps everything.

Quite ironic of you to talk about someone having a tribal mentality.....

When someone disagrees with your nuttiness you consider them to be disloyal and law-breaking?...

Good Lord..you have to go back that far to argue your point ?
Ellis Island was the legal route then.
