Well, you can ask your mom where your copy of your birth registration is, if she's still available to ask. Or you can send a request to the state, since hospitals don't keep records forever.

The COLB comes from the Hawaiian records that were all transfered to computer and stored digitally in 2000/2001.

So in order to have a COLB printed off for someone born in 1961...there has to be an original.
And Hawaii did NOT destroy any of those original records.
But now, and after a few "seeing" Obama's original long form, the one Hawaii issued in 1961, they can't find it. How many others were issued, from a long form, in 2008 and then, lost?
