Think about it. Why stress over politics? Liberal or conservative means nothing. How about we just live our lives and enjoy it. If you think about it, we all do the same thing on a daily basis. We wake up, go to work/school, eat, and sleep.

We have no power. The elite of this country has the power. The cable news networks have done a good job in polarizing political buffs when in reality, there is little difference in Republican or Democrat.

Liberal or Conservative is the single most important characteristic whereby you can define a person.

Without that definition how can one determine whether the individual in question is friend or foe or right or wrong?

Can't believe I'm saying this but, for once I agree with you. For the same reasons, though I believe we're looking at the same problem through different lens.

I think it's important to be informed about the larger. I also like seeing the pulse of the nation. It shows me what trends may occur. It's great to see a debate on here because it shows what other people are thinking and what biases they have. I like seeing those things.

Being a conservative means a great deal to me. I am not and will not ever be associated with liberal ideology. That means I won't just roll over and play dead as progressivism runs rough-shod over this country. I find it a highly disturbing that you consider us all the same. We're not.

I agree it is good to keep up with what is going on in the world and the pulse of politics.

I would think it would be a depressing way to navigate the world with such a defeatist attitude, "Who cares, I can't make a difference anyhow, we have no power. .."

I don't have any use for these clowns.

People get so worked up with the name calling but at the end of the day politicians have one job - get re-elected. Democrat or Republican, if you think they care about you or the helpless or corporate America you're sadly mistaken. Every action they make has one goal - re-election.

But people will still go on with the name calling and the "my party is better than yours" crap.

But yet, you are concerned about the expansion of civil rights, remember?

That is absolutely, positively, NOT a conservative ideal.

It's Stalinist.

I find that many people who claim to be conservatives are actually just authoritarians.

I find THAT highly disturbing.
