Showdown: 41 Senate Democrats vow to filibuster budget if it defunds Planned Parenthood « Hot Air

No surprise here. No chance PP will be defunded unfortunately. I say that the GOP should stand firm on this and any other future cuts that are planned. Let them filibuster a budget over this. Maybe that will allow the public to get educated on just what their tax money is used for. Let's educate the public on everything about PP. And then move on to all the other nonsense that is funded by our government.

When is the last time Pelosi and the Dems even passed a budget???
The Democrats do not care about cutting spending and they certainly dont want to cut anything that is an "entitlement" type program. After all, who are their number one supporters? People who rely on the government. Theyve had their chance to get things done. Theyve done nothing but spend since theyve had majority. And here they are now, fighting tooth and nail to keep programs like this.

Common sense and basic education should be enough to deal with parenthood. And if you want an abortion, condoms, etc then pay for it yourself. Why should I have to pay for it?

Half of America feels that abortion is murder and we don't want our taxpayer funds going towards murder. If these dems and Neo Progs in general are so pro abortion, let them pay for it through their donations; win/win.

Take that billion or so that Obama is expected to pull in and just distribute it to programs like PP and unions.

We are in for a world of pain if we dont deal with out debt and everyone knows this, yet these crooks in DC cant find anything to cut?? They care more about keeping the votes of those they want to rely on government than doing the right thing.

Abortion services are about 2-3% of what Planned Parenthood offers and those funds are separate from the government funds as per title X funding rules.

Those against it goes way beyond the 41, and also includes Republicans.

Murkowski, Collins, Snowe, Brown and hell even Thad Cochran are on record opposing the Planned Parenthood cuts

A. Prove it
B. If it is true, that's still 2-3% more than we should pay for
C. Prove that the monies are separated
D. If you love abortion send them a check, don't use my money to fund murder

I agree, it's a shame the right are acting like such babies. The first thing they did coming in was force through 858 billion in spending, against the will of americans. Now the right won't make any meaningful cuts. Refuse to slash military spending which the dems have proposed, refuse to cut government handouts to corporations, absolutely disgusting.

Let those who chose, fund this whole program. I dont want to fund any of it. All it takes is common sense and basic education. This should not be a necessary program, at least not one that the government has to fund. Since liberals are more inclined to want government to fund this, FUND IT OUT OF YOUR POCKET.

There are enough liberals/democrats out there that could fund this group with donations. If you truly believe in it, open up your own pocket book and let it exist that way.
