I have visited Amsterdam and I can tell you it's gotten bad there. Muslim ghettos ring around Dutch cities. 1/3 of the city is now non-Western born.
The funny thing about these so called "right-wingers" is that they are still very liberal, they've just been pushed too far.
What has this to do with muslims. I met a 'muslim' today and I talked about it to him, turns out he is not a muslim at all but a christian from Iraq. And he speaks pretty darn good Dutch too. Don't confuse brown with muslim. And most arabs and/or muslims I know speak Dutch. Pretty good even. It's some people who don't 'get' the language, and they should not be supported by the tax payers... but no one should.

Um. I just said muslim ghettos ring around Amsterdam. IMO, that has something to do with Muslim. I didn't say "brown people" surround Amsterdam. Either way, Dutch culture is radically changing.
Because the native language is an arbitrary picked language by the government. There are many languages spoken, why should ABN (the official government sanctioned Dutch) be 'the' language? In a free country people speak what they want to speak and if they don't speak and learn the right language then they become isolated at their own expense. Only socialism makes it a problem.
Because they come to their home.
If you come to my home & refuse to speak my families language or don't learn it, I would kick you out.
The problem isn't that they can't learn the language, or that they couldn't. I myself am an immigrant, and I know about three different languages completely (reading, writing, and speaking), but the problem is that the reason they did this was to give the immigrants a hard time, esp. Muslims, which is not only bigotry, but also religious discrimination. If Muslims live peacefully (practically all of us do, and yes, I am Muslim), lawfully (and no, not those racist, discriminatory ones, ex. don't wear a veil) , then they have no (moral) right to do that. The face the danger of being uprooted constantly. Not to mention the "culture" isn't being messed up by the Muslims, its only the culture becoming more diverse. Which is not a bad thing at all, culture can still be preserved, but new things will be added, just like in every functioning culture out there.

Reason: remembered something I wanted to add
Good for them. New Zealand is already that way. America needs to follow suit. Think about how much money our nation spends accomodating the Hispanics. Most everything is printed in both English and Spainish. Every 800 number you call, you have to sit through the Spanish part first, before being able to press one for English. All insturctions are in many languages. America is the only country that does this.
If you come here to live, learn the freaking language!!!! If I moved overseas, I would learn theirs.
I have never called a place in the US where the spanish part was first, if you are going to say something at least be factual about it or don't say anything at all.
No news. In order to obtain US citizenship, an immigrant needs to pass a language test too. (Probably most of you don't know that.)
One has to pass a language test, one isn't required to speak only English or primarily English once becoming an American. People are free to speak in whatever language they choose in the US.
What's wrong with requiring immigrants to speak the native language of the country they move to?
Generally nothing, unless we are talking about disabled, old, extremely busy, et cetera individuals.
