will the entire city of detroit be next on the bailout list?

Quote:
Councilwoman JoAnn Watson is reiterating her call for a government bailout of Detroit, saying the city that built the middle class deserves as much help as Wall Street or General Motors.

"We are worth it. We are worth at least as much as General Motors or Chrysler or the Wall Street bankers," Watson said. "It was this city that built military vehicles for World War II. It was this city that (invented) the middle class and the five-day work week.

"We should not be in a position to be victims. We are victors. And we should demand respect."

JoAnn Watson: Detroit deserves bailout 'at least' as big as GM | detnews.com | The Detroit News (http://detnews.com/article/20110412/METRO01/104120394/JoAnn-Watson--Detroit-deserves-bailout-‘at-least’-as-big-as-GM#ixzz1JPhj8G1V - broken link)

Ask Kilpatrick to pay back his $1 million in restitution and the city might be able to reinvest that ?

It wasn't the city that built the vehicles, it was hard working UNION folks...My grandfather and father worked those assembly lines--which are now GONE becaue the city is incapable of maintaining a civilized environment...

Ms Watson needs to look north at FLINT and learn to accept the inevitable....

She seems sort of like a hybrid Waters and Jackson-Lee, doesn't she? That with a whole lot of FUGLY thrown into the dogpile.

Looks like one of the ladies I see on Hardcore Pawn always looking for their respect. Guess no one taught her respect comes from the inside. No one can give it to you. Classic from these kinds of people.

Ooooooo was that not PC enough. LOL
