One thing's for sure: The old definition of insanity, "doing the same thing and expecting different results," still holds. Whatever the progressive movement's doing right now, it's not working as well as it should. It's frustrating, but it's no reason to give up. Like a guy with a guitar said a century ago: Don't mourn, organize.

Good article. I agree completely. The GOP fears their base. Democrats routinely bend their base over and violate them. Too many liberals and progressives just take it and keep voting the party line. Liberals need to vote their conscience and vote issues. I generally vote third party but occasionally a Democrat (and even less so a Republican) pops up that I can support and I do.
