To deal with the US budget crisis, should we raise taxes (including taxes within your own economic class), cut spending (including spending that affects you), both, or neither?

Glad to see the majority of people think both. Wonder why Congress has so many issues with getting this done then?

It's obvious we need to do both to get out of this hole. I suppose we could pick one and claw our way out, but might as well put in a sesious effort and do both. Ten years ago, we could have simple cut spending, but what did we do? We cut taxes and excalated spending like never before.

Because the majority in Congress do not reflect the will of the citizens but of corporate power.

And if you keep voting for any GOP member or any Blue Dog Democrat you'll keep them in power.
