Ok say we do legalize gay marriage in all 50 states. Whats next? Will they be satisfied with that or will they continue to press for more rights & reap benefits from the government?

Its like a crying kid in a candy store. You cave in once & they keep wanting more, more, more. You give them an inch & they take a mile.

How do you define "equality" in America anyways?

How about taking away all the benefits given to anyone for being married and call it a day? I personally believe the government should have no involvement in marriage whatsoever. Keep it between you and the church.

yes please oh wonderful majority give us an inch we have done nothing to deserve that inch we are at ur mercy. we don't pay taxes or anything but please bless us with that inch so we can run with it and take over society. ya know, just like black people did when white people decided to be gracious and give them basic human rights. now if only we could get every black person and gay person to prove their citizenship.

Benefits like SS etc should be able to be passed to one person at death.

Rights like going into a hospital room should be for every individual to decide.

Who is "they"? You do know that some polls show a majority of Americans support same-sex marriage, don't you?

Support for Gay Marriage Reaches a Milestone: Half of Americans Support Same-Sex Marriages - ABC News

The fact that you see this as a question of "us" versus "them" really weakens your opinion, in my eyes.

SOUNDS like you are the kid living in mom's basement crying to me.....GROW UP!!!!!

And starting a senseless trouble making thread isn't exactly the best way to push your homophobic agenda......

What's next is I have the same rights you have....since I'm apparently good enough to pay the same taxes as you and everyone else.

It's more like......who and what are you going to hate on next.....when the United States finally "grows up".

All we want is the same exact rights that you get with marriage, not a different set, not more, not less. It is really quite simple. You get 1049 rights, privileges and protections from the Feds when you get married. I want the same. It is not reaping any thing that we did not sow. We pay taxes as you do, we live as you do, we are human as you are, do we not deserve the same. I define equality as each US citizen being equal, not some are more and some are less. What other rights and benefits are there that you do not get already? We just want those denied us.
