Would it bother you if marijuana was taxed? If so, why?
No, it would not bother me. However, I don't agree with sin taxes at all. I don't agree with punitive taxes on alcohol and tobacco. All products should have the same sales tax rates.

You'd be surprised to learn exactly what types of people smoke marijuana.
A whole lot more than what you are describing. People who you'd never imagine.
People wo will stand right in front of you. look you in the eye and verbally slam marijuana, slamming marijuana smokers and proclaiming their support of it remaining illegal.
Then, when they're alone in their bathroom, or in their basement or in their Den; they're sparking up a doobie or smoking a bowl. You'd be very surprised.

Most drug users I know...and I'm talking any drug, are productive people.
Most hobbos are alcoholic. It doesn't mean everyone who consumes alcohol is a homeless loser.

My 78 YO mother would resent your preconceived notions.
If you have a cocktail or a glass or wine after work then you shouldn't speak about keeping pot illegal. If you are totally against all types of substances you should spend your energy trying to get cigs and alcohol made illegal. The fight against pot is just stupid.
