They are currently trying to build a new dome over the Chernobyl plant that happend what thirty years ago or whatever. Hope the new one will last a hundred years. This stuff doesn't just evaporate or go away. The first kid born with three eyes and four legs and maybe folks will take notice or they'll just kill it and move on. Nothing to see here. That seems to be the attitude now anyway.
The largest nuclear meltdown in history by far from Japan should be the biggest news story on the nightly news world wide but in this era of total corporate capture you just get garbage and disinformation. Don't know what to do about it or how to put a stop to it.
Yes, it is pretty bad and only going to get worse over time.
There was a baby experimental reactor Stationary Low-Power Reactor Number One in 1961, run by the army, that underwent a steam explosion and meltdown caused by removing the central core rod manually to far out.
This reactor was quite small and was basically only enough to provide power to remote military installations. They dismantled and buried all the parts onsite in a deep burial ground and sent the fuel and core to a nuclear waste processing plant.

Now this all happened back in 1961.

Contrast this little reactor problem, with the thousands of spent fuel rods, as well as unspent fuel rods, and cores......this problem in Japan will not go away in our lifetime.
Nothing good about the nuclear news at the end of August as we have official recognition (finally) of what is going on in Japan and thus what is threatening the rest of the world, especially the northern hemisphere.
It is now being said that the amount of radioactive cesium that has leaked from a tsunami-hit nuclear plant is about equal to 168 of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima at the end of World War II, Japan’s nuclear agency said Friday the 26th.
That’s like dropping one nuclear weapon a day since the beginning of this disaster and this is what they have been calling safe, no problem, don’t worry about it, go home and go to sleep.
Dr. Chris Busby tells us in the above video that he himself went to Japan with very sophisticated equipment and found areas in Tokyo that were 1,000 times higher than the exclusion zone around Chernobyl.
The report said the damaged plant has released 15,000 tera becquerels of cesium-137, which lingers for decades and could cause cancer, compared with the 89 tera becquerels released by the U.S. uranium bomb.
Northern Japan will become a barren wasteland. Maybe the entire island unless you wanna cook up your chicken on rocks like the guy in the vegas vacation movie. Not a squeak from anybody. Food contaminated, livestock, rice, milk everything. When folks start glowing Tokyo will become a free for all.

I beg to differ. A on going crisis that has virtually disappeared from the press, out of sight out of mind I guess. It does mean something. Somebody doesn't want it out there in people's minds. Who would that be?

The medical establishment doesn't want people to think about it. That is for sure. The last thing they would want would be people to start trying to get and stay healthy by strengthening their immune system and keeping it strong to stave off these cancers since the orthodox medical establishment can only make money off of sick people.
Who spends the most on advertising? The medical establishment of course does. What keeps the media in business? Revenue from advertising dollars.
When you put 2 and 2 together, it is pretty obvious why there haven't been stories in the news about it.
