Who is overtaxed ? The wealthy never had it so good. For decades conservatives have pushed their lowet tax idiology while consistanly failing to deliver proportional spending cut. Bush was a master at this with his massive wars totally unfunded. Now who's gonna pay for thid debacle ? The poor, the elderly and thr middle class right ? People are getting robbed in broad daylight and they stil ask for more. Come on let's defund education and healthcare to preserve the bush tax cut...

I think we want the same thing you do. To live our lives in freedom and take care of our families.

We disagree on how to get there, of course.

Social Issues: Get out of them altogether; the government shouldn't be in the business of telling someone how to live their lives.

Economic Issues: MUCH smaller gov't and with that cut spending drastically leading to a balanced budget. Spend according to the Constitution only - guess that leaves defense basically and let the states handle the rest. I'm a fan of the fair tax or flat tax. Get rid of these so-called free trade agreements that are anything but. Stop trying to buy poor citizens a life of properity through gov't handouts; hasn't worked, won't work, and isn't working.

Foreign Policy: Get the hell out of the UN already and kick them out of NY; they can go find another country willing to host them. Stop acting as the world's police force and take a defensive posture. Stop trying to "fix" countries that have centuries of strife and warfare as their history; that's just throwing good money after bad. Actually realize that illegal aliens are law breakers and deal with them accordingly; no more turning the other cheek because they could be "potential" voters. In addition, secure the borders once and for all; make it nearly impossible to get into this country illegally and actually enforce it!

Social issues- Stop the government from sanctioning death for our most innocent

economic- let us keep our money instead of giving to a bloated system that wastes and spend

Do not fight a war unless our intention is to win it.

Apparently conservatives want to climb to the top, pull up the ladder and seal the door. Then live in a free market fantasy ruled by a permanent aristocracy of wealth under an appointed King. They want a puritanical society under their One True God where any and all sexual expression is completely suppressed as blasphemy and sin. They want all workers to pay, through lack of safe workplaces, reasonable work weeks, for the endless profit of the owning aristocrats. They want poverty and fear for the many and paradise for the few.

I do not want to see this particular form of Tyranny here or anywhere else.

Not sure what you were reading, but the conservatives that actually posted really didn't have this type of response at all.

47% supposedly pay no income tax because they do not have any income to pay it with considering the basic cost of survival in this economy. Just how much is the 47th percentile - $30,000 per year? I think the minimum taxable income should be more like $300,000 per year.
