"This thing about . . . let's put 100,000 of our special forces stomping through Pakistan in order to find bin Laden is just simply not the strategy that will work. ... I truly am not that concerned about him.”
Barack Obama suggested last night that removing Osama bin Laden from the battlefield was no longer essential and that America's security goals could be achieved merely by keeping al-Qaeda "on the run".
Getting Osama is more symbolic than anything else. But the symbolism helps. Maybe an uptake in AlQeda actions in Pakistan will prompt the Paki's to clear them out, rather than playing both sides.
Good ol' Dubya...always good for an insanely dumb quote....
"Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?"
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."
And how can we forget one of his favorite words...."NOOK-YOO-LER."
Do you guys understand that President Bush and President Obama said that to make Osama lower his guard and make it easier to catch him?
Possibly...but the fact is, it was President Obama, not Bush, who authorized the operation that brought down a man Bush couldn't be bothered to catch. After all, he was too busy in Iraq fighting a war against a country that never attacked us..
