Well if you are betting on supply to be lower...betting long that price will increase because of shortage of oil. You certainly would want to cause instability of supply to push the price up and then once it is up...sell. If the bank can't control the demand, they will certainly try to control the supply if they want to create a bubble.

Would Goldman want the U.S. to go into Libya, Egypt, Iraq. Certainly, if they want to create a bubble by a temporary supply problem. As long as they know in advance.

I worked for a large bank for 7 1/2 years. After I left, never again! That bank went under, and was acquired by another bank. They're all crooks IMO.

I would say that is true for national level banks. I don't know about local banks. I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Somehow all the business schools must have left out all courses on ethics and morals. The bigger they get the more they resemble criminal gangs than responsible honest businessmen.

They look more and more like the mafia. This is just organized crime.
