I was thinking about all the many conspracy theories we hear about and have to deal with everytime a major event happens in the world. Then I wondered, has there ever been one that was actually proven to be correct?

Anybody?

Sure. For a while, there was a "conspiracy theory" floating around that the second Gulf of Tonkin incident was no incident at all, but had been used anyway by the Lyndon Johnson administration to help justify increased US military involvement in South Vietnam. It turns out, those conspiracy theories were true.

There was the conspiracy of pedophilia at Penn State.

There was the conspiracy of the Kennedy killing of an intern.

Aspartame is a conspiracy.

I could go on all day.

Big tobacco.

There are many, many, many examples of "conspiracy theories" that were later proven true, many already mentioned. The problem is that once proven it often ceases to be a conspiracy theory.
