So I guess the intolerance that certain people are demonstrating on this thread is how America is the land of liberty and justice for all, huh?

Default Pilot refuses to fly with Muslims on board

Muslim leaders say they were taken off Tenn flight - Travel - News - msnbc.com

Without meaning to sound racist you can see why he did it but it does seem extremely harsh.

Thoughts?

umm no I actually cannot "see why he did it". Because they were dressed in traditional Indian and Arab clothing? Because it MIGHT make other passengers uncomfortable? C'mon. Completely unfounded

Further proof that the near strip-searches, x-ray machines, metal detectors, etc. aren't effective after all. Why else would the pilot be so uneasy? I'll bet you a $100 he's going to be all over FauxNews as some kind of hero in the next few days. Why oh why are Americans so freaking dumb?

Besides, wouldn't it make sense for terrorists to want to fit in? As in not wear traditional Middle Eastern garb? So that people wouldn't suspect them? Duhh.

And these guys were on their way to a conference about Islamophobia, too.

If Allah willed it, they would have gotten on the plane. It was not his will. I thought good little muslims don't question the will of Allah.

I don't recall the 19 hijackers wearing traditional garb on 9/11. Just saying.
