I mean their notorious for crying about gov't staying out of their lives and "don't tread on me". Now that all these disasters continue to ravage them by way of floods, fires, tornadoes, oil spills, hurricanes....shouldn't they prove to the country what they stand for or will be the double back like they always do (social security and 70 percent of tea-republican party want it)...I say back your bold talk...
The federal government takes money from the people/businesses in each state to provide for such things. They don't get to tell anybody to go stick it.
Or are you one of those people who thinks the government has their own money

So I guess this means if a state takes federal money after a disaster the fed gets to tell its residents how to live their lives, buy health insurance even if they don't want or need it, et cetera. Astounding.
it's amazing how the flags and slogans disappear when a house is under 8 feet of water, oil is caking the side of the boats, or hurricane blows the community away...than all of sudden government hand outs are A-O-K-A-Y !!
