Default The "sin" of bigotry

I disagree. Homosexuality is not a sin, it is a sexual orientation and a natural variant of human sexual identity like heterosexuality and bisexuality.

I think there are intolerant people who hate gay folks and their intolerance - it has a name: homophobia - is a sin.

The Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community is composed of fellow neighbors, colleagues, relatives, and citizens who deserve the tolerance and respect that all minorities deserve.

By stigmatizing members of this community, the intolerant people are trying to justify and legitimize their hatred and bigotry. They are attempting to make excises for prejudice and discrimination.

Bigotry, in my view, is contemptible.

Show me where you got this fact, that "most homosexuals compare their problems to black people"

Sorry, but it bugs the heck out of me when posters say "Why do..." and then make some ridiculous statement that's supposed to be factual. So unless you're pulling this stat our of your behind, back it up please.

They are not saying they are just like Blacks. They say they are being discriminated against. And Blacks are the closest thing they can relate to with regard to the wide spread discrimination they endure. But that doesn't mean they are saying gays = blacks

It is intentionally twisted logic: "Because blacks are discriminated against unjustly and racism is wrong, then it is must also be true that since homosexuals are discriminated against then that is wrong." False.

Immoral behavior should never be tolerated.

the lbgt community is probably trying to get their own civil rights act much like black people did in 1968. That would be my guess if gay people use black people as a comparison

When two men can procreate that will be the day I'll say I was wrong about the whole thing. Let me know when that comes walking down the nature trail.
