Ok, we got #1 but it reads..

"The federal government apologized and settled part of the lawsuit for $2 million after admitting a fingerprint was misread."

That happens in regular criminal cases everyday..That's still not worth all the blathering I hear about it.

The old line used to defend tyranny throughout the ages. Wrong in whose eyes? Whatever happened to privacy? Why should big-daddy government know my business? You sound like you'd be a good citizen of China. Government could never be evil, could it? We're too smart to allow that to happen, aren't we? We could never be emotionally manipulated, could we?

Ahh, that's the ole publican trojan horse used in reverse. Let gays get married and one day we wont have kids, have stricter gun laws and black government helicopters will invade your home..As long as we have the right to vote, we're fine. No need to hype something where there's no evidence for the need.

Has the government invaded your privacy or are you adding to the unfounded hype and hysteria?

I know a few and none have had an adverse situation as a result of the patriot act. Do you?

I'm off today, not sure why folks have resorted to insults. I'm asking questions. I question the gov all the time but when the vitriol is unfounded I ask different questions. I'm a freethinker through and through.

You've apparently never heard Alex Jones and Jesse Ventura rant and rave about it. They do it every week.

How about Michael Parenti? Noam Chomsky? Howard Zinn? Chris Hedges? Gore Vidal? Andrew Napolitano?

Who was the innocent victim who had an FBI tracking devise on their car for months? It came out about six months ago in the mass media.

Most people who are victims of invasion of privacy and covert intimidation are scared into silence: they rarely speak out against the big scary government agencies and officials. That's why you do not hear of too many cases.

It's been in effect for several years and I hear so many complain about it but nobody that's actually been effected by it. It sort of goes hand and hand with airport body scanners and/or pat downs. THe extra 1-2 minutes it takes me to take my shoes and belt off has never caused me any trauma but I hear so many whine incessantly about it. Well, that's until something goes BOOM..Anyway, just my thoughts, flame away at your leisure.

But the right to vote for whom? Democrat or Republican....two ugly heads on the same beast.
