John McCain: Without Backing Immigration Reform, ‘Our Chances Of Being In The Majority Are Minimal’ | Mediaite

By his comments, doesn't he appear more interested in protecting his political hide than what's best for the country?

Fits right in with most politicians these days.

Based upon his comment, yes. McCain has always been this way. It's why I could never bring myself to vote for him.

Old Juan McCain has been for whatever keeps his butt in his seat for many years like every other politician sadly.

Seems a majority of Americans believe what is doing now is what's best for America...If those in Arizona believe different, then they can vote him out.

those who appear to be for this type of immigration need to experience firsthand living in the welfare cesspool of southern California. That experience will change your minds about importing poverty into this country and expanding welfare dollars to the immigrants and their children. Don't we have enough struggles in raising our own kids and paying our own bills? Between the added costs of the Fed's printing press policies, higher taxes with no reduced spending (yet) and the added costs of Obamacare, why should the middle class be burdened by even more costs?
Give the illegals the citizenship and you invite even more free healthcare, free housing, free Medicare, free SSI, free education and scholarships, more earned income tax credit refunds, etc. I just see this as political opportunism on the part of the Repugs and it's vey disappointing.
