The onetime Nixon operative has created the most profitable propaganda machine in history. Inside America's Unfair and Imbalanced Network
In 1974, his notoriety from the Nixon campaign won him a job at Television News Incorporated, a new right-wing TV network that had launched under a deliberately misleading motto that Ailes would one day adopt as his own: "fair and balanced." TVN made no sense as a business. The project of archconservative brewing magnate Joseph Coors, the news service was designed to inject a far-right slant into local news broadcasts by providing news clips that stations could use without credit – and for a fraction of the true costs of production. Once the affiliates got hooked on the discounted clips, its president explained, TVN would "gradually, subtly, slowly" inject "our philosophy in the news.” The network was, in the words of a news director who quit in protest, a "propaganda machine." Do you get all your information from such credible sources? How bout them news programs on NBC Saturday Night and Comedy Central. They are great too aren't they!

First of all, Rolling Stone Magazine a well respected publication...
There is nothing "fair & balanced" about Fox News. They are what I consider "yellow" journalism and use Conservatism to attract viewers. They lied about Obama being educated in a "Madrassa" in Indonesia and it took CNN to debunk that story!
They also spent a inordinate amout of time on the Natalee Holloway missing case sending teams of reporters to Aruba to cover it yet if Natallee was some black or hispanic college kid their coverage would have been about 3 minutes!

Rolling Stone is a very respected publication. It's not like WND, Newsmax, or the Daily Kos. Read the article and see if you can refute the information.
Okay, this is your basic left-wing paranoids rant against the highly successful Ailes. What else do you expect from Rolling Stone?
I notice they didn't mention Fox News having any Dan Rather-like scandals that occurred at CBS or the plague of plagiarism at the NYT.
Fox News has a perception of America just like the others news organizations have theirs. It's hardly worth an article in Rolling Stone, but you panting libs will lap it up anyway.

Page 12 - Fox News also hyped Sarah Palin’s lies about “death panels”
Lies? Really. Palin almost derailed the healthcare bill once the public got wind of what this administration was pulling on America.

I suppose that's why it's in the rack next the The Enquirer, The Star and the NY Post at convenience stores.
Yes I read it. And yes, it's still a hit piece.
Hey, I did say 'nice' didn't I?
Excuse me there's a news show about Beer coming up on the Comedy news channel.....see ya later.....
