Seriously! It took three weeks for the DA's office to decide not to file charges and she still doesn't know if she will get her job back.

Exactly what I was thinking. The teacher would probably have been fired.

Sadly ovcatto, these are the times we live in.
From that video the teacher is clearly defending herself and it's a good thing that other student stepped in to pull him back as it looked like he was going for her.

If anything that student should be charged with assault and sent to alternative ed.

What bothers me, even more than this worthless idiot assaulting the teacher, is why did the other boys just sit there and do nothing?

Unbelievable!

Do they give males neutering pills at birth these days or what?

In 1960 if a boy was idiot enough to assault a teacher the majority of boys in the class would have jumped him in short order but these doofs just sat on their big behinds, took video and watched?

Kind of hard to see what exactly happens in the video, but it looks like the student is yelling at the teacher, and teacher just punches him a few times. I couldn't see that the student made any contact, although students who witnessed claimed he did.
