Yeah. That will do a whole lot to help them assimilate.

Bashing? After reading many of your posts I am somewhat surprised that you would waste your time on me. Your opinions count too, however. In addition to your opinion(s) of me, your comments about the article itself are welcome as you are someone that has things to say and ideas to add.

We have a ps language school that offers language immersion in Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Mandarin. You are in one of the above programs and have 80% of your schooling in a language other than English.

I would have no problem if they added Arabic. It is a choice for parents to make.

I don't mind a school that teaches the Arabic language, but one that teaches IN Arabic IMO, should not be funded by public money any more IMO than a school that teaches IN Spanish, French or any other language.

The claim seems to be that one cannot teach in Arabic without also teaching a biased toward Arabic ways. Not sure I like the sound of that, but I don't know whether it's true or not...

This seems like it could be a gray area that allows for separation of church and state. Since the muslim/arab community is highly religious.
How can they ensure no religious doctrine/classes are being taught there? I know they sure police the "regular" public schools in regards to that kind of stuff.
