Apparently, Joseph Farah and Jerome Corsi believe that a satirical article in Esquire cost them almost 4 million sales of Where's the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President. Is this another case of unscrupulous trial lawyers, or is $100 million a reasonable price to pay for making fun of the man's book?

It's hard to win a lawsuit against satire. Seems to me these people are grasping at straws.

I believe they should revoke the right to vote from anyone whom considers themselves a birther. And anybody associated with a birther, i.e. Glen Beck fans, anybody Donald Chump supporters, Bachmann supporters, tea party baggers, etc.

The distinction appears lost on people like Farah, Corsi and their half-witted followers - they've fabricated a reality that can't be told from satire.

As a lawsuit, this is going nowhere. I smell a fund-raising effort for "legal costs" in 3.. 2.. 1...

The problem is the birthers had a serious issue, which was twisted into something ridiculous.

The birther movement, began because people believed that you need two parents born in the US to be "natural born", This was then hijacked by individuals who then started the ridiculous statements that Obama was born in other countries. The problem of course is that the question about what is "natural born" was never fully answered.

I usually agree with you, but this issue was silly from day one. There is simply no question that Obama meets the qualifications to be elected President, and always has.
