They break into houses in wealthy neighborhoods and give what they find to the street people. Then they burn Sarah Palin in effigy. After that, they dress up like Native Americans and head to the local grocery store to destroy all the tea on the shelves, shouting "Tax decreases only for the wealthy are tyranny!" They finish off the day by inviting all the illegals in their area over for dinner and to watch the fireworks.
Let's be honest...
the 4th of July is for the bible-thumping, gun-toting, white, anti-intellectual, Right Wingers to celebrate themselves.
I disagree. Even liberals celebrate the 4th just like the above mentioned do. They are not all flag burners afraid of fireworks. In fact, I don't know one liberal who fits that description.
I love it. It is a piece written as a defense to the common knowledge and belief that most liberals hate America (which is true). The article is a muted attempt to assert that liberals actually love their country (despite despising the military, promoting communist/socialist causes, encouraging the ACLU and the trial lawyer's association to destroy the fabric of our society, and flooding the nation with a plague of illegal aliens) and are apparently just misguided patriots who appear to be 180 degrees out of phase with what is right and honorable.
I got a good laugh out of the article. I am sure that after the 4th passes, the liberals can get back to flag burning after a brief respite.
Well, this is about the most ridiculous post I've read on here in a long time.
Y'all keep living in your little conservative dream worlds where there are no liberals in the military and history is continually revised to suit your silly agenda. It's not helping, not any of it.
But, perhaps, that's the plan.
This is just a direct response to the "harvard kennedy" study that suggested dems dislike the 4th....your more prone to be a repub if you attend 4th celebrations...

Apparently many conservatives spend the third of July dreaming up baseless, asinine statements
