Ron Paul: Obama Violated War Powers Resolution

Quote:
Barack Obama says, "I'm not a Supreme Court Justice so I'm not goig to put on my Constitutional law professor hat here. Do I think that our actions in any way violate the War Powers Resolution? The answer is no. So I don't even have to get to the Constitutional question. ...... The Constitution is very clear you don't go to war without a declaration. ... He can't go to war by talking to the United Nations and NATO and refusing to talk to the Congress. I'm beginning to like Ron Paul more and more. He would school the man-child in a debate on the constitution.

His own counsel says he needed approval. His own party says he needed approval. He even lobbied to get approval recently.

Who does the guy think he's fooling?

Obama is trying to talk his way out of it, like he always does.

In before "Bush did this with Iraq" falsehood and in before "why are neo-cons so upset at Obama going to war" BS.

Indeed. This is exactly why the far left and the MSM do their best to minimize Paul's exposure. A POTUS who actually adhered to and upheld the Constitution of the United States of America would be a detriment to the global Progressive agenda. The warmongers and banksters can't have the Constitution remain intact so they put in their puppets instead. Obama is one in a long line. Paul is a threat because he cannot be bought.

Ron Paul 2012!

Impeach Obama for high treason NOW!

Why are you always going back to Bush?

Bush is gone. We have to worry about now.

That certainly is no great achievement. Anyone who has actually read the US Constitution could give the President the education he is clearly lacking.

So what is Ron Paul prepared to do about it? Nothing but empty rhetoric, as usual.

I am not as easily impressed by those who are all mouth and no action, which not only includes Ron Paul, but the vast majority of politicians.

Only Republican presidents can only violate the war powers resolution.
