How close would be acceptable to you for a new nuclear plant to be built near your home.

I live within 4 miles of that plant. I boat on the lake, swim in the water, play disc golf in the park overlooking the lake, and have no qualms with it whatsoever. They were just approved to build a 2nd reactor and the lake level will raise an additional 20 feet, can't wait!

If new plants are built, they should be far away from any area that has a high population density and folks that live there, within a certain radius - should be offered a buy-out. When ever we move, I make darn sure it is NOT near any nuclear power plant.

I live just over 10 miles from a plant now (Ginna) and you would never even known it existed unless you saw it.
